I’ve been thinking about putting out a remix collection for a few years now but I didn’t really know how or where I would do it. Seeing Bandcamp become this bigger force over the last little while has inspired me to finally put together a remastered compilation of the remixes I made over the years. This music represents a specific era of my production that doesn't really show up on any of my solo albums.

These remixes are a snapshot of a time period where I was falling in love with DJing and production. I used to spend all day working on a remix just to try it out at a party later that night. This was when I lived in Montréal and was part of a ridiculously talented community of musicians. I wanted to be the Tom Moulton of my crew. Listening back, I can still hear my excitement and reverence for the source material.

Many of these remixes have not been previously released. Some of them did come out but not many people heard them. After listening to them together as a collection, I’m pleased to notice some unintentional consistency in how I approached music at the time. During these years, I wasn't very focused on rapping but I rap on a few of the remixes. This compilation is a document of a very specific time where all I wanted to do was shatter expectations and approach production with a disruptive, experimental attitude. More than anything, I loved bringing a song into a completely different world. I hope you all enjoy it.
